Around March this year we told you guys about a cool app by Me Books, a great story book app for your iPad or iPhone and iPod touch. Me Books features classic story books like Little Red Riding Hood and The Gingerbread Man. Me Books now have a larger collection of books from the vintage Ladybird books to modern favourites Elmer, Topsy & Tim and Peppa Pig.

Our little beeniebud is 2 years old and enjoys reading, we had so much fun with the Me Books app. We totally enjoy the Read. Listen. Record. Save. Little beeniebud could personalise her books by drawing interactive hotspots to record their own stories and sounds. At first when we done this, she was so excited that her voice was part of the story. Other than little beeniebud voice, there are famous storytellers featured on app like Sir David Jason and Tamsin Greig. It’s nice to hear familiar voices from your favourite shows. Me Books have totally made our rainy weekend fun and we shall be looking out for more cool books to purchase!

You can download the app here. Also upon download readers will have access to the beloved Ladybird Classics title ‘Little Red Riding Hood’ free of charge. Additional stories are available for between £0.69 and £1.99 each through In-App Purchase. Cool and affordable.

jonathan and martha book

Little beeniebud loves books and she was given some lovely books as a gift. We have read them about 20 times over and we still have giggles when we read our favourite parts from the books. Here is our selection below, enjoy!

1. Jonathan & Martha by petr horacek

A funny story about two worms Jonathan and Martha that are both lonely at first but learn to share and create a lovely friendship at the end! Eye- catching illustration and collage pages, a classic story that teaches children and adults about the importance of sharing.

me and my cat book

2. Me and My Cat by Ekaterina Trukhan

A fab heat-warming story which shows a very special friendship with a little girl and her cat. Lovely Illustrations and a great bedtime story.

faces book

3. Faces by Goodman & Miller

We are huge fans of the Miller Goodman FaceMarkers and ShapeMakers, and to have this book is amazing! It was fun trying to work what was used for the faces. It involved lifting flaps, looking through holes or turning the book upside-down. Hours of fun.

a walk in london book

4. A walk in London by Salvatore Rubbino

A delightful way to illustrated the City Of London. A little girl and her mother are spending the day in London and its a whirlwind tour of London’s most iconic land marks. We had fun guess the land marks. We shall be going a London Town tour very soon : )

Happy reading with your little ones x

Tim Hopgood book

Little beeniebud lovvvves books and we have been keeping up with buying her a few new books a month. Our book love this month is Thank You For Looking After Our Pets by Tim Hopgood (fab name). Mama Panya's Pancakes

Pancakes, Pancakes Eric Carie

Mr Wolf's Pancakes

English, American or French pancakes. I love them all. Here are some cool stories about pancakes.

1. Mama Panya’s Pancakesby Mary Chamberlin and Richard Chamberlin, illustrated by Julia Cairns.

A beautifully illustrated book, a village tale from Kenya that teaches the importance of sharing, even when you have little to give.

This book also has a easy-to-make Mama Panya pancake recipe too.

2. Pancakes, Pancakes!, by Eric Carle

This classic Eric Carle style book, is fun and has a bit more of story compared to his other storybooks.

3. Mr Wolf’s Pancakes by Jan Fearnley

A book that takes traditional fairy tale characters and gives them a modern twist.

Enjoy and Happy Pancake Day!
