new brand :: bieq

Autumn has arrived…and bieq has arrived in our online store. We first saw this cool brand at the Playtime Paris AW12 show this year. bieq is a Dutch label started by Angelique Roelofsen a few years ago because of her passion for handicrafts. It evokes nostalgia and shows the care and attention with which it has been made. Her brand sells completely handknitted items only, everything made from 100% pure merino wool. Merino garments are light weight, breath well and are non-irritant to the skin.Those are all important qualities, especially for toddlers and babies. We are delighted to have this great brand to our collection of other cool brands. Available to buy here

we love books…

Little beeniebud loves books and she was given some lovely books as a gift. We have read them about 20 times over and we still have giggles when we read our favourite parts from the books. Here is our selection below, enjoy!

1. Jonathan & Martha by petr horacek

A funny story about two worms Jonathan and Martha that are both lonely at first but learn to share and create a lovely friendship at the end! Eye- catching illustration and collage pages, a classic story that teaches children and adults about the importance of sharing.

2. Me and My Cat by Ekaterina Trukhan

A fab heat-warming story which shows a very special friendship with a little girl and her cat. Lovely Illustrations and a great bedtime story.

3. Faces by Goodman & Miller

We are huge fans of the Miller Goodman FaceMarkers and ShapeMakers, and to have this book is amazing! It was fun trying to work what was used for the faces. It involved lifting flaps, looking through holes or turning the book upside-down. Hours of fun.

4. A walk in London by Salvatore Rubbino

A delightful way to illustrated the City Of London. A little girl and her mother are spending the day in London and its a whirlwind tour of London’s most iconic land marks. We had fun guess the land marks. We shall be going a London Town tour very soon : )

We ♥ Mibo . A brand that designs make-at-home products for kids and how have teamed up with the French company Coq en Pate to create a range of kids accessories. We are super happy to stock these cool backpacks which have a lovely graphics of animals, using screen printing water based ink and Azo free. Features include a adjustable straps, magnetized clasp and a little inside pocket. A fab collaboration these backpacks are perfect for school, nursery but in fact are so nice that maybe they should be kept for special day trips at the weekend. Which backpack would you like to take home? Also the fun tea towels that can be made into a plush toy and it does take long to create.
